Main Duties of the role
  • Direct responsibility for management of patients
  • Care of patients in Clinical Decision Unit
  • Working closely with the Nurse Coordinator to ensure the department runs efficiently
  • Liaise with other departments and the wider team
Essential Criteria to Apply
  • GMC Registration/In process – OET or IELTS complete
  • MRCEM
  • Emergency Medicine Experience
  • ALS, PALS

We are partnered with one of the UKs largest university foundation trusts based in the Southeast of England, serving a population of over 700,000 people, and have been instructed to assist in their search for two Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctors. This trust has recently undergone an exciting period of redevelopment, having received national investment to install a brand-new Critical Care Hub, including bespoke training facilities and brand-new intensive care unit. This large county is rich with British history, and picturesque views and has excellent transport links into London, whilst also being a short distance to the coast. The Rota consists of 12 PAs or 14 PAs. Main Duties of the role will include: Clinical Leadership supervision of Junior Medical Staff Assessment of Patients To liaise with clinicians and managers within and outside the department Ensure patient safety Essential Criteria to Apply GMC MRCEM 5 years A&E Experience ALS, APLS

Alongside this, senior doctors will have the opportunity to join the trusts dedicated CESR programme which will be well supported by the Senior Trainees and Consultants. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to subspecialise in a relevant area, be involved in the department teaching programme and, experienced candidates, will be given the opportunity to undertake specialty training and advance their career through the CESR pathway.
