I am currently working with a Trust based just in Greater Manchester, and they are seeking a passionate and skilled Consultant Histopathologist to join there dynamic team on a NHS fixed term contract. The Histopathology department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a dedicated team committed to delivering excellent patient care. To meet the growing clinical workload, the Trust are expanding there team, which currently consists of 3.2 WTE Consultants and a Specialty Doctor, serving a population of approximately 330,000. Key Responsibilities: Broad expertise in Histopathology reporting. Gastroenterology, Breast, Colorectal, Haematology, Head and neck, Urology and Dermatology Consultant-led complex dissection. Consultant Cellular Pathology at Royal Devon University Healthcare Accredited Excellence Our Department of Cellular Pathology, based within the Devon Trust, is proudly UKAS (ISO15189) accredited. We actively participate in recognized external quality assurance (EQA) schemes for histopathology and cytopathology, ensuring the highest standards in diagnostics and reporting. Annual Workload Histopathology Requests: 12,500 per year Non-Gynaecological Cytology Requests: 800 per year The department handles an extensive range of biopsy and resection specimens, reflecting the demands of a small district general hospital (DGH). Notably, approximately 10% of histopathology requests originate from primary care doctors. Reporting and Specialization Our consultant pathologists utilize a flexible generalist reporting system, allowing them to focus on their subspecialist interests while maintaining a broad expertise. Work distribution follows a hybrid pull-push system: Specialist/Urgent Work: Pushed to designated consultants Non-Urgent Work: Pulled by consultants during reporting sessions. Multidisciplinary Meetings (MDMs) Regular MDMs are held for a variety of subspecialties, including: Breast, Gynaecology, Urology, Gastrointestinal, Dermatopathology (including inflammatory skin), and Lung Meetings take place in the purpose-equipped MDT room at the Medical Education Centre or virtually via MS Teams. Im working alongside a University Hospital in London, that are looking for a UK based Haematology Consultant. The Haematology department lies within the Women’s, Children’s and Clinical Services Division. The Consultants perform clinical and laboratory duties across sites. The Haematology Laboratory operates as a single merged service across-site with a unified management structure and a single Laboratory Lead. Haematoncology services (clinical care and chemotherapy delivery of patients requiring up to and including Level 3 services) Haemoglobinopathy care is centralised at CMH within the newly refurbished specialised centre. The Brent Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Centre is an integral part of the Haematology department at CMH and provide Haemoglobinopathy testing, counselling, support and education of patients and the local community together with training of professional staff. Service reconfiguration has resulted in the consolidation of all Haematology inpatients at the NPH whilst outpatient services offered at all sites of the Trust. Service transformation and reconfiguration is ongoing to ensure all patients across the Trust have access to the same specialist services but where appropriate have also access to follow up and day treatments closer to home. The post-holder will be an integral part of the Haematology service provided to the Trust and the appointee will provide care for inpatient and outpatient haematology patients. There are weekly myeloid, lymphoma, CLL and myeloma clinics within the department in addition to new referrals, general haematology, haemoglobinopathy and thrombosis clinics. The combination of clinics for the individual post-holder will be subject to their experience and interests. Full-time consultants at this trust will generally undertake 3 clinics per week. There are weekly regional and local MDTs which will be part of job planned activity. Acute inpatient admissions are managed. For malignant haematology, has a stand-alone MDT and a weekly meeting to discuss complex cases and transplant referrals. The essential:  Must have full MRCP Consultant experience within the NHS  Sub specialty interest 

I'm currently working with a trust based in the North East looking for a Consultant Microbiologist to join their team on a NHS fixed term contract. You will join a team of 4 Consultants and 1 Specialist trainee, the department forms an integral part of Clinical Pathology Services. Staff are enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated and work effectively as a team. About 40% of the workload is from GPs and the community, with whom there are exceptional links. The department is committed to keeping turnaround times for all specimens to a minimum to the benefit of users and attaining a level of medical and technical staff, to process and authorise reports with suitable clinical input to ensure a consistent delivery on a seven-day basis. The Microbiology laboratory is part of a large open plan laboratory shared with Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Biochemistry and Cellular Pathology. The new laboratory has benefitted from substantive investment from the trust and enjoys modern accommodation that has been designed to take full advantage of state-of-the-art equipment. This post is part of the newly formed ‘Infection Team’. The infection team’s aim is to optimise the prevention, diagnosis, and management of infections in the Trust. The ultimate intention being to reduce the number of healthcare associated infections seen and their impact and to optimise the management of infections helping to prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital and facilitate earlier discharge and better outpatient management of infections.
