This is a new post within the trust, providing services to patients all over Kent The Trust was formed in April 2000. It consists of two District General Hospitals based in Kent providing services to approximately 450,000 people living in the local area. The Trust manages the Oncology Centre based in the local area. These services form an integral part of Kent’s Cancer Services. The post holder will join the team of medical and clinical oncologists to take a major interest in Gynae. The trust has a well-established oncology research department, providing the opportunity for the post holder to run and develop clinical trials. Job Responsibilities The duties of this post will be to support the consultant service across a range of tumour types: Attending consultant-led out-patient clinics (both in the Centre and Peripheral Clinics) and undertaking related admin and chemotherapy prescribing. Supervision of SHOs and ward patients Review of patients attending for chemotherapy and radiotherapy if required by nursing or radiography staff Teaching of SHOs and medical students Involvement in clinical governance and audit activities Person Specification Qualifications Essential Full GMC Registration MRCP or equivalent The trust is situated in a prime location in Kent with excellent transport links and all the necessary amenities.

The successful candidate will be part of a team of oncologists with a specific role in the Breast and Upper GI service in the Directorate, as part of this role, you will also be required to attend the relevant MDT’s for each site. Job Responsibilities The appointee will be a member of a team of 13WTE Consultant Oncologists, 2WTE Consultant Medical Oncologists and 11WTE Consultant Haematologists delivering a comprehensive Oncology and Haematology service. There will be service commitments in the Cancer Centre. The Oncology Department has some commitment to Undergraduate teaching, and you will be expected to participate in this, as well as Postgraduate teaching and training. I'm currently working with a trust based in the North East looking for a Consultant Microbiologist to join their team on a NHS fixed term contract. You will join a team of 4 Consultants and 1 Specialist trainee, the department forms an integral part of Clinical Pathology Services. Staff are enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated and work effectively as a team. About 40% of the workload is from GPs and the community, with whom there are exceptional links. The department is committed to keeping turnaround times for all specimens to a minimum to the benefit of users and attaining a level of medical and technical staff, to process and authorise reports with suitable clinical input to ensure a consistent delivery on a seven-day basis. The Microbiology laboratory is part of a large open plan laboratory shared with Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Biochemistry and Cellular Pathology. This post is part of the newly formed ‘Infection Team’. The infection team’s aim is to optimise the prevention, diagnosis, and management of infections in the Trust. Consultant Radiologists x 3 Full GMC FRCR I am partnered with a fantastic district, General Hospital in the south of the UK seeking to appoint 3 General Radiologists on fixed term or substantive contracts. The successful candidate will have a good general background and undertake a share of the departments XR, CT & MRI including general hot and cold reporting sessions. They will also regularly report duty radiologist sessions. There is options to do home reporting with equipment provided by the trust. Dedicated time to develop a special interest will be allowed within the job plan according to the individual sub-specialty requirements. Sub-specialty interests that can be accommodated are as follows: Cardiothoracic: Main need it within thoracic imaging, but some cardiac imaging can also be provided. Lung Biopsies – is desirable, but if cannot do this then a willingness to learn, as training can potentially be provided for the right person. Lung MDT – ability to lead the MDT H&N: Associated FNACs needed.
