Emergency Medicine Senior Clinical Fellow

We are pleased to be working with one of the largest hospitals in the East Midlands who are looking to add three senior clinical fellows to their Emergency Department.
The hospital is in a thriving town with rich history and direct links into London and Birmingham.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to subspecialise in a relevant area, be involved in the department teaching programme and, experienced candidates, will be given the opportunity to undertake specialty training and advance their career through the CESR pathway.

The Acute Medicine department are looking to recruit two Acute Medicine SpR's for their team, with interviews to be held within the next 2 weeks.

Medical Education
The post encompasses management responsibility for the delivery and evaluation of professional teaching activity, training programmes, Continuing Professional Development activity, induction and skills training for junior doctors and specialty trainees.
Portfolio pathway- formerly CESR Program
Successful candidates will enter the Portfolio Pathway in Acute Medicine (3-5 years), which follows the current Acute Medicine training program. They will rotate through Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Elderly care, ITU and Acute Medicine. Candidates will be expected to attend regular CSER teaching courses, as well as Medical GIM teaching session for denary SpR that are provided by the trust.
The role is a Monday to Friday 0800-1700 position and does not include on calls, there is an opportunity to pick up additional shifts.
Successful candidates must meet the below essential criteria:
GMC Registration
1 year NHS prior/current experience
MRCP part 1 & part 2
BLS
Experience in Acute Medicine setting

Stroke Consultant

We are delighted to be working with a reputable University Teaching Hospital based in the North West who are looking to recruit a Stroke Consultant.
The role is based in a Hyper Acute Stroke unit and the post-holder will work closely with the other Stroke Physicians to provide a comprehensive Stroke Service, this will include supporting the thrombolysis service and triage for the TIA Rapid Assessment service.
There is an opportunity to provide stroke services at the Trusts Rehabilitation unit based at another site.
The department are happy to support candidates via the portfolio pathway to assist with GMC specialist registration.

I am partnered with a fantastic district, General Hospital in the south of the UK seeking to appoint 3 General Radiologists on fixed term or substantive contracts.
The successful candidate will have a good general background and undertake a share of the departments XR, CT & MRI including general hot and cold reporting sessions. They will also regularly report duty radiologist sessions. There is options to do home reporting with equipment provided by the trust.
Dedicated time to develop a special interest will be allowed within the job plan according to the individual sub-specialty requirements.
Sub-specialty interests that can be accommodated are as follows:
Cardiothoracic:
Main need it within thoracic imaging, but some cardiac imaging can also be provided.
Lung Biopsies – is desirable, but if cannot do this then a willingness to learn, as training can potentially be provided for the right person.
Lung MDT – ability to lead the MDT
H&N:
Associated FNACs needed.
Full range of imaging
H&N MDT
Urology and/or Gynae:
Full range of CT & MRI

You will be expected to participate in the oncalls. Currently 1:12. Nights and weekends is outsourced. Interventional on call is separate.
The hospital has top of the range equipment with the new MRI machines already in & CT scanners arriving in November, the image quality is the best there is to offer. The hospitals radiology department also boasts the highest staff survey score for morale which is testament to the excellent team.
The area has regularly featured as one of the best/happiest places to live in the UK, with a mix of beautiful scenery, rural village locations or city centres it has something for everyone. The schools have a mix of excellent state schools and grammar schools with higher than average GCSE results. If you need to get into London, a direct train takes less than 90 minutes.

Acute Medicine Consultant

The Trust are looking for enthusiastic candidates who are looking to progress their careers, as such they are happy to offer opportunities to those who have prior NHS experience at middle grade level and looking to make the step up, with this they would be prepared to support the CESR/ Portfolio pathway.
An attractive part to these roles would be the offer of 2 Direct Clinical Care sessions in a Specialist interest of your choice, this would be discussed at offer stage and agreed prior to joining.
At present the provisional job plan consists of 8 DCC and 2 SPA, if a leadership role is offered a further 1 DCC will be converted to an SPA session for additional duties.
Weekly cover generally consists of:
Mon- Fri 08:30-16:30
Sat & Sun 08:30- 16:30 (Max 1:6 with time off in the week to maintain 10 PA job plan)
MSDEC late 1:7 17:00- 19:00
