We are working alongside a teaching hospital situated in the vibrant Yorkshire that are currently recruiting for Consultants for their Respiratory department.
This is an exciting time to join the Respiratory Medicine department as the trust further develop sub-specialty interests.
The trust are particularly keen to hear from candidates with an interest in Lung Cancer but a variety of other sub-specialties could also be accommodated including, but not limited to, Cystic Fibrosis, Sleep and NIV, Interstitial Lung Disease, COPD and developing community respiratory care.
The lung cancer service currently makes over 300 diagnoses per year and is well supported by a full MDT including colleagues from surgical centres as well as oncology therapies. They are committed to improving lung cancer performance through a range of innovations and are seeking colleagues who are inspired to drive through service change and achieve improvements in outcomes for all patients.

The Hospital is seeking to recruit a Consultant Medical Oncologist, who together with 17 other Consultant Oncologists will provide a comprehensive service for the people of Derbyshire.
We are looking for a Medical Oncologist who has interests in Lung, CRC, and Germ Cells but is open to discussions around these, knowing flexibility is important.
Main duties of the job
The appointee will be responsible for:
- Provision of a comprehensive service in Oncology with consultant colleagues. The Department also undertakes a variety of joint clinics with other specialties.
- Provision of emergency cover and reciprocal cover for your consultant colleagues during reasonable periods of leave, on a shared basis. This will include the care of patients and the supervision of junior doctors.
- The care of patients in his/her charge and for the proper functioning of the Department
- Undertaking teaching/training duties as required and actively participating in the postgraduate and undergraduate teaching programs
- Participating in clinical and medical audits and actively contributing to both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance

This is a new post within the trust, providing services to patients all over Kent
The Trust was formed in April 2000. It consists of two District General Hospitals based in Kent providing services to approximately 450,000 people living in the local area.
The Trust manages the Oncology Centre based in the local area. These services form an integral part of Kent’s Cancer Services.
The post holder will join the team of medical and clinical oncologists to take a major interest in Gynae. The trust has a well-established oncology research department, providing the opportunity for the post holder to run and develop clinical trials.
Job Responsibilities
The duties of this post will be to support the consultant service across a range of tumour types:
Attending consultant-led out-patient clinics (both in the Centre and Peripheral Clinics) and undertaking related admin and chemotherapy prescribing.
Supervision of SHOs and ward patients
Review of patients attending for chemotherapy and radiotherapy if required by nursing or radiography staff
Teaching of SHOs and medical students

I'm currently working with a trust based in the North East looking for a Consultant Microbiologist to join their team on a NHS fixed term contract.
You will join a team of 4 Consultants and 1 Specialist trainee, the department forms an integral part of Clinical Pathology Services. Staff are enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated and work effectively as a team. About 40% of the workload is from GPs and the community, with whom there are exceptional links. The department is committed to keeping turnaround times for all specimens to a minimum to the benefit of users and attaining a level of medical and technical staff, to process and authorise reports with suitable clinical input to ensure a consistent delivery on a seven-day basis.
The Microbiology laboratory is part of a large open plan laboratory shared with Haematology, Blood Transfusion, Biochemistry and Cellular Pathology. The new laboratory has benefitted from substantive investment from the trust and enjoys modern accommodation that has been designed to take full advantage of state-of-the-art equipment.
This post is part of the newly formed ‘Infection Team’. The infection team’s aim is to optimise the prevention, diagnosis, and management of infections in the Trust. The ultimate intention being to reduce the number of healthcare associated infections seen and their impact and to optimise the management of infections helping to prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital and facilitate earlier discharge and better outpatient management of infections.
