Exciting Opportunity: Consultant in Medical Oncology (Breast & Other Tumour Site)
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Medical Oncology to join the Breast & Other Tumour Site team in Kent. The successful candidate will have a significant role in breast cancer care and will join a dynamic team of medical and clinical oncologists. This position also provides the opportunity to contribute to clinical trials through our well-established oncology research department.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend Consultant-led outpatient clinics (both at the Centre and Peripheral Clinics), including associated administrative tasks and chemotherapy prescribing.
Supervise SHOs and ward patients.
Review patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy, as required by nursing or radiography staff.
Teach SHOs and medical students.
Participate in clinical governance and audit activities.

Geriatric Consultant

We are excited to be working alongside a well-established trust in West Somerset who are looking for a Geriatric Consultant to join their department on a fixed term or substantive contract.
The hospital has two further wards currently badged as ‘general medicine’, but they are aware that most patients on these wards are in fact frail older people who need specialist geriatric MDT care, the expansion plan will see one or more of these wards brought into the COOP fold, alongside improvement in subspecialties in line with the interests of successful applicants.
Most of the COOP consultants contribute to the general medical on-call rota, and they would expect any new appointees with qualification in General Internal Medicine to join this rota. However, they plan to move to a separate 7/7 frailty rota to which all geriatricians will be able to contribute.

• Consultants from overseas that have experience in Geriatric Medicine. CESR support can be provided.

The Gastroenterology team are a dedicated, motivated, forward thinking and a friendly team. They provide general and specialist services to their patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders, both benign and malignant, including irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, enteral/parenteral nutrition, Cog’s (complex gastrointestinal disorders) and hepatology services.
They have excellent endoscopy facilities which are all JAG accredited this includes a 3-room endoscopy suite at QHB and a 2-room endoscopy suite at SRP. They participate in the national bowel cancer screening programme across the Acute Hospitals.

The main duties of the job include the maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of a Dermatology Service, you will be sharing with colleagues’ responsibilities for the day-to-day management of the Dermatology Service. You will be expected to teach and train junior staff and medical students. Other responsibilities include participating in NIHR portfolio studies and actively participating in both departmental & Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance & audit.
The trust sees on average 4810 OP appointments per day. Whilst being the 4th busiest Trauma & Orthopaedic outpatients department in England - an average of 2077 per week. An average of 1115 patients are seen in A&Es across their network every day - 3rd largest in the country’s The hospital admit an average of 195 emergency patients daily.
O&G Staff Grade

I am recruiting for a O&G staff grade to join a hospital based in the channel islands for a substantive contract.
The basic salary is dependent on experience, but the trust offers up to £135,000 per annum (further increments can increase once in post) + relocation package.
The full time post of Staff Grade in Obstetrics & Gynaecology comprises 10-programmed activities per week, plus 4 additional programmed activities based on the resident out of hours rota at the General Hospital, Jersey, assisting in providing a 24:7 Obstetrics & Gynaecology service for the population of Jersey.
The appointee will be expected to participate in the Middle Grade resident out of hour’s rota (1:6), but on-call and day-time sessions will be flexible so that they reflect service needs, at the discretion of the Head of Service and Clinical Lead. The post holder will be on duty with a Junior Doctor.
The post holder should be experienced in all aspects of Labour ward management and operative deliveries. The island has approx 1,000 deliveries per year.
General gynaecology experience at Staff Grade or Registrar level (or equivalent) is essential.
There is an Assisted Reproduction Unit with a Satellite Assisted Conception service linking in with the Lister Hospital in London. Clinics are held to prepare couples for the Assisted Conception programme in accordance with the HFEA.
There are 4 Colposcopy clinics each week and it would be desirable if the successful candidate was accredited in Colposcopy.
An early pregnancy unit is held Mon – Fri mornings and experience in early pregnancy scanning is desirable. There are plans to develop this into an EPAU

Consultant Radiologist

I am partnered with a busy acute trust based in the South West of the UK, seeking a Radiologist on a permanent or fixed term contract.
I need a Radiologist with an interest in Gynae Radiology and/or Paediatric Radiology (post arisen due to retirement).
10 PA 7.5 DCC, 2.5 SPA
If a newly appointed consultant, the successful applicant will be eligible to apply for additional study leave to undertake up to 3 months additional subspecialty radiology training to meet specific learning objectives that are of benefit to the applicant and the Clinical Imaging Directorate. This additional study leave must be taken within 2 years of appointment. There may be a requirement to participate the on call rota during this period of additional study leave.
The successful candidate will join a team of 30 Consultants providing a wide range of general and specialist radiology services and will be expected to contribute to the second on 1:11 general radiology on call service. First on call is provided by Radiology On Call, a network Registrar delivered service.
The trust is a large training centre for the Postgraduate School of Radiology. A number of Specialty Registrars rotate through the department at any one time (17 in 2024/5).
Home workstations are available for consultant radiologists to facilitate more flexible working. For most consultants on a standard full time contract job plans include one day a week for flexible SPA/off work (subject to job planning).
A new imaging & oncology centre (including 2 new MRI scanners with space for a third) opened in 2023. The Trust is also planning a new Women & Children's centre. We also have CDCs.
The Clinical Imaging department registration with QSI renewed in 2023. We are in the process of moving from the UKAS accredited QSI scheme to the RCR / SCoR QSI quality mark scheme. The department was rated as Outstanding by the CQC.
The area is one of outstanding natural beauty, the county is known to be home to Britains best beaches & countryside. The main towns are busy and have lots to do. It has its own national airport so can reach London in 40 minutes.
Consultant Radiologist

I am recruiting for a Head and Neck Radiologist to work in one of London’s most prestigious trusts. This is for a permanent or fixed term contract.
The job has been created due to expansion of the service.
The trust has a large ENT, H&N, Thyroid, Skull Base & Ophthalmology centre with multiple sub-specialist clinicians.
This is a large, expanding Radiology department with over 100 Radiologists.
The department has close ties with the college and offers a wealth of research and teaching opportunities and has recently been awarded £1bn Kings fund for the development of AI in healthcare.
The successful candidate will have completed formal training in Head and Neck Radiology, and will have experience in H&N ultrasound, including fine needle aspiration and biopsy procedures, and all aspects of H&N cross-sectional imaging and plain film reporting. An interest in salivary intervention and /or trauma imaging would be encouraged and accommodated. The post-holder will contribute to several benign and cancer MDTs.
The Trust is a Major Trauma Centre. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the general work of the department which includes the provision of 7-day consultant led reporting service. The Trust provides consultant level support for inpatient and acute imaging between 5-8pm which will be included on one weekday evening on a rotational basis as part of the candidate's job plan. The candidate will also be expected to join the consultant roster on a weekend report checking service equating to 2-3 days / year of 9hrs on each day, which will be remunerated via TOIL (time off in lieu) or sessional pay.
An interest in training and research is strongly encouraged in accordance with the strategic aims of the Academic Health Sciences Centre.
